CPC Peace Cookout & Backpack Drive

The Community Peace Collective Peace Cookout & Backpack Drive is our annual community gathering created to bring families together in a spirit of peace, joy, and connection. This free event is all about showing up for our neighbors—sharing a meal, spending time together, and creating a space where everyone feels welcome and valued.

Each year, we distribute hundreds of backpacks filled with essential school supplies to children and youth, helping families get ready for the school year with confidence and support. Alongside the backpack distribution, families enjoy sneaker distribution, food, music, activities for kids, raffles, and access to community resources, all in a relaxed and uplifting environment.

The Peace Cookout & Backpack Drive is more than just a summer event—it’s a reminder of what’s possible when a community comes together with intention. It reflects CPC’s commitment to building safer, stronger, and more connected neighborhoods, where peace isn’t just a word, but something we practice together.
